Ms. Khakali is a professional with four (4) years’ experience in legal advisory services. As an Associate at EMSI & Associates, a professional services firm based in Nairobi, Kenya she assists the Principal Lead in Project Finance, Public Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions and Policy & Legislative Drafting.
Prior to joining EMSI & Associates, Linda has worked with the County Government of Tana River as the Legal Officer where she was responsible for establishing the legal department, drafting of County laws in conjunction with the County Assembly of Tana River, creation of the compliance and regulatory framework within the County Executive and negotiation of County contracts both bilateral and multi-lateral.
Ms. Khakali started her career at the Office of the Attorney where she worked extensively in the Treatise Department with Government Transactions in the Energy sector and the Legislative Drafting Department. She then went to the Council of Governors’ Secretariat where she worked as the legal assistant in the Energy, Mining and Public Finance Management Sectors.
Ms. Khakali is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and an Advocate of the High Court in Kenya.
Born in Kenya, Linda holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in South Africa and a Masters (MA) in Development Studies from the same institution. She currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya.
