The social pillar of the Government of Kenya’s long-term economic blueprint – Vision 2030 – underscores the Government’s commitment to eliminate poverty by 2030. To this end, the Poverty Eradication Authority Bill (No. 13 of 2020) was published on May 22nd 2020 (the “Bill”) to provide an institutional framework which ensures the participation of all Kenyans in poverty reduction and economic growth.
